Aymara Lupaca Reserved Area
The Aymara Lupaca Reserve was established on March 01, 1996, by Law (D.S.) N 002-96-AG, it is located in the department of Puno, provinces of Yunguyo and Chucuito and it has a surface of 300 000 hectares.
Despite of its climate and altitude this area presents very important ecosystems with their typical flora and fauna. The main goal of this area is the preservation of the wild flora and fauna as well as technological research of its own resources.
