Day 01 : Monkey Island
You arrive at Puerto Maldonado, the biodiversity capital of Peru. After a reception at the airport, you will ride to the city center by bus. You will depart from port and travel down the Madre de Dios River. During the trip you will see caimans, turtles, herons and other species of animals along the riverbanks.
When you arrive at the Lodge, you will be served an exquisite welcome drink, after which you will have time to settle in to your bungalows and eat lunch.
In the afternoon, with our specialized guide, you will visit Monkey Island, which is only 5 minutes from the Lodge. During your hike through the island you will observe extraordinary scenery and lively flora that shelters a tremendous variety of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as the Black Spider Monkey, Capuchin Monkey, Tamarins, Squirrel Monkey, and the South American Coati, as well as a number of bird species. You will complete your visit to Monkey Island by enjoying the sunset, and then returning to the Lodge for dinner.
Day 02 : Meeting the Shaman
You will start the day with breakfast and then a relaxing walk into the rainforest near the Lodge. After lunch, these will be an orientation chat with the master shaman to assure the effectiveness of the work he will carry out. At 8:00pm the meditation session will begin. The master shaman will guide you through a full spiritual cleansing and purification that will last until past midnight. On day 2, dinner is NOT served to ensure that your stomach is empty prior to the meditation session.
Day 03 : Relaxing at the Lodge
Breakfast is served in the morning, followed by a day of rest and meditation.
After lunch, you will visit the gulch to enjoy a natural bath in the waters of the Gamitana or Briolo rivers. Later you will return to the Lodge for dinner.
Day 04 : Transfer Out
Breakfasta and transfer to the airport or bus station. End of Services.
