Day 01 : Lima / Juliaca
Arrival in Juliaca and transfer to Puno (located at 20 kms). Day free for acclimatization.
Day 02 : Floating Island of Uros / Sillustani
Early breakfast and transfer to the local pier. Then we will visit the floating islands of Uros. Main Activities in these Islands -made of totora- are fishing, hunting, and taxidermy. After visiting 3 Islands of the Uros we will return to Puno. Lunch and and visit to the archaeological center of Sillustani. We will observe impressive funeral tombs belonging to the Kolla culture (1200-1450).
Their noble class (Caciques, priests) were buried in funeral towers called chullpas. Their corpses were previously mummified and placed in fetus position together with some of their belongings, such as gold and silver objects, jewelry, ceramics, and food. Return to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 03 : Puno / Juliaca
After breakfast transfer to the airport, bus, or train station. End of services.
