This trek include visits to the two more important archaeological Inca sites and is also one of the last unexplored routes although nowadays there are more people exploring it more often to the landcapes, hot spring and the closest contact with the andean settlers who dress in really typical and unique customs in the world.

Itinerary:  

PERU TRAVELS NET will be waiting for you at the airport of Lima with a sign with your name. After that, we will take you to your Hotel in the most tourist and safest district of Lima, Miraflores. (Overnight Miraflores)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Mamacona Ranch, where you will have a 2 hours riding tour at the beach and valley or mountains and valley. You will enjoy a very exciting ride with a traditional Peruvian Paso Horse. The Peruvian Paso Horse is a 400 years old breed descendant from the horses that accompanied the discovery of the America Continent. This horse is widely as the best saddle horse in the world because of its extraordinarily smooth ride, arrogance attitude, even temperament and overall rideability. After this incredible experience, transfer to your hotel. (Overnight Hotel Miraflores) (B)

After breakfast, we will be transferred to the airport to take the flight to the Inca capital of Cusco. Upon arrival we will be transferred to your hotel. Cusco also known as “The Navel of the Earth” for the Incas with it is fascinating Inca buildings and ruins. Cusco was and will always be the capital of the Inca culture. It shows a fascinating contrast between ancient cultures and the Spanish conquest. This is obvious as we have a look for example at their customs, the traditional parties, where a lot of Inca rituals are demonstrated, the official Inca language Quechua that is still spoken. You never stop exploring Cusco . Free day to get acclimatized to the 3 360 m.a.s.l. (Overnight Cusco) (B)

Breakfast at the Hotel. In the afternoon, a City Tour walking through the Cathedral, Qorikancha or the Sun Temple and the surroundings ruins: The Sacsayhuamán Fortress. People think it was an astronomic observatory and is used for meditation because of its great accumulated cosmic energy. You will visit Q’enqo, this place was used for worship and ceremonial center, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay or Inca’s Bath . Return to the Hotel. (Overnight Cusco ) (B)

At 6:00 A.M. At 6:00 A.M. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco very early in the morning, to take bus to the Km 82 to begin your trek along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu . In your way you will visit the Inca reamins of Patallaqta and Willqaraqay. After approximately three hours walking you will stop for lunch. you will continue walking towards your first camp at Wayllabamba. Dinner and overnight in tents at the campsite. (Overnight Camping) (B, L, D)

After breakfast, the toughest part of the trail begin, walking towards the highest point in the Inca Trail where you will have an unbelievable panoramic view of the whole area and will observe different types of microclimates. After a 3 hours walk you will reach the first pass, named Warmiwañiusca or Dead Woman’s Pass, at approximately 4200 m.a.s.l. Here, you will have a tremendous feeling of achievement mixed with relief on reaching the top. After lunch you will continue your walking down to Pacaymayo where you will camp and have dinner. After breakfast start the descent towards the second most important pass of the trail at 3,850 m.a.s.l. having a guided visit at the archaeological complex of Runkurakay and the Inca citadel of Sayacmarca. Continue your trekking towards Puya Patamarka (Cloud-level town), another important archaeological monument, where lunch will be served. After a short break you will continue walking to Wiñay Huayna (Forever Young) for a guided visit of this impressive archaeological complex with a spectacular setting. Dinner and overnight at the camp. (Overnight camping) (B, L, D)

After breakfast, have a very early start to arrive in time for sunrise at Machu Picchu. After a one hour walk through the forest towards the Inti Punku or the Gate of the Sun, also known as the Entrance Gate to Machu Picchu , where you will have the most impressive panoramic view of the citadel. Upon arrival at Machu Picchu , three-hours guided tour around the citadel, visiting the main sites and monuments. After the tour you will have free time to wander around, then you will meet with the rest of the group to drive by bus down to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, transfer by train to Cusco . Upon arrival in Cusco transfer to your hotel. (Overnight Hotel Cusco) (B)
