Just two hours from Lima, 50 square km of desert floor were covered centuries ago by vast drawings, figures of mammals, insects and deities.

This tour will give you the opportunity to visit these amazing drawings and also to the only national maritime reserve, the Ballestas Islands.

Strategically located in the bay, in front of the Nature Reserve of Paracas, our Paracas Hotel is the most luxurious resort spa in the Peruvian coast and the ideal starting point for excursions to the Ballestas islands from our own private deck.

You may enjoy two swimming pools and engage beauty or relaxation in the 547 sqm spa. Also you can try the creative combination of Peruvian and Mediterranean flavors in the main restaurant, the trattoria or our bar Lounge. We suggest arriving early to take full advantage of the spa’s other amenities, including the therapeutic water circuit (ideal for relaxation and recovery) and gym.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Lima – Paracas

Whether you have just landed in Lima or taken this short break to the peruvian coast as part of a wider tour, a private vehicle will take you from either Lima Airport or your hotel to the desert region of Paracas, a 4 hour drive.

Upon arrival, check in at Paracas Hotel a Luxury Collection Resort and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You can begin to explore the bays and beaches of Paracas this afternoon or simply admire the sea views from the hotel’s pool.

Day 2: Paracas

Breakfast at the hotel. There are many wildlife encounters and ancient wonders to be had in Peru, and today you’ll visit one of them, the Nazca Lines.

One of South America’s top ancient wonders awaits with an unforgettable overflight above the Nazca Lines, the giants sand carvings of Nazca simply must be seen to be believed, and are still full of mysteries to this day. Return to the hotel and free afternoon. Overnight in Paracas.

Day 3: Paracas

Breakfast at hotel.

Departing from the private dock of the hotel, a morning motorboat tour will take your first to the Ballestas Islands. These rocky outcrops are known for their huge populations of seabirds and sea lions, marine otters and ever-lovable Humboldt Penguins, a charming natural spectacle.

In the afternoon we will pick you up from your hotel to take you in a private car to the desert known as “Lanchas”, some people call it “California desert”, looking for dunes and small terrain elevation called “médanos”. Once near our practice zone, we will get an assigned conductor and we will start our tour in the buggy car, part of the attraction is the tour itself, since the vehicle will go like a roller coaster through the dunes, going up and down from time to time in this dunes.

There are two types of stops: one for taking photographs and the other one to practice sandboarding, if you have never done it before, or if you think the equipment isn’t appropriate, you can sandboard with your belly down, the conductor is the surf instructor.

Then, we will go back to your hotel in Paracas and watch the sunset.

Day 4: Paracas – Out

Breakfast at hotel and free morning.

Finally, as your trip draws to an end, a private vehicle will be on hand to take you to Lima airport, ready for your onward flight home.

Important information:

The climate in Paracas is sunny is to wear the typical beach clothes: bathing suits, shorts and sandals, and that’s fine, but you should know that, due to the winds, it is highly recommended that you wear a light jacket and pants that protect you from the cold during the night.

Your most important accessory in Paracas, besides the sunscreen, is the sunglasses. You must protect your eyes from the sandy wind and from the sun that during the day can be inclement: ideal to visit some of the beaches of the Reserve.
