Community Reserves - Peru Nature

The community reserves are areas which main purpose is to preserve the wild flora and fauna for the benefit of the local population.

The use as well as the commercialization of these resources will become a reality through supervised plans managed by the same population.

This plans can be established on agricultural, cattle and forest lands. The Yanesha Community Reserve is the only one in Peru at the moment, covers a surface of 34 744, 70 hectares, which represents about 0,03% of the national territory.
